Making Of: Emperor Yes

Recently, I had the pleasure of printing for a very nice independent  East London based studio, ‘House of Strange’ for their new venture Emperor Yes headed by the lovely Ash Gardner. The print was to coincide with the  release of their first single on Tape Club Records and to celebrate have put on an art/music inspired special type of show at TOP OFFICE MACHINES- (133-135 Bethnal Green Road, E2 7DG London)

The 3 week long event called EMPEROR YES AND FRIENDS will resemble an art gallery and will feature original art inspired by the two songs, remixes, live performances, comedy, a pop up record store, 3D photo booth and a magician!

They opened from the 5th and will be running until the 29th of July at the brand new TOP OFFICE MACHINES on Bethnal Green rd. when there isn’t planned events happening come down, have a look at the art, and abuse the 3D photo booth.

15 artists from the likes of Low Bros, who incidentally designed the fabulous Logo for the prints, Mr Penfold, Malarky, Milo Tchais, Tony Lee and many others, have created art inspired by the two tunes. The Prints and many other art work is available for purchase  as well as some great Emperor Yes and House of Strange merch.

Please check the full events list/times on the Emperor Yes & Friends events FaceBook page for further details.

I really loved printing this 4 colour screen print, purely because I loved the design and the colour balance of the print is quite amazing. The prints are available from the Emperor Yes & Friends show in the Top Office Machines space now!  I only printed 50, so Hurry, get them while stocks last.
