Being Human Festival: Woman’s Art Library Residency & Exhibition

I have been fortunate enough to have been offered a residency in the Women’s Art Library in Goldsmith’s in conjunction with the Being Human Festival 2015.

I am working alongside side one of my longest calibrators and friend, archivist and artist Ego Ahaiwe Sowinski to show various poster produced specially for Radical New Cross and inspired by a collection of hundreds of posters from the women’s movements of the 1970s and 80s. This exhibition of empowered printwork is the result of a two week residency at the Women’s Art Library and will be shown alongside copies of rarely seen archive material.

Our exhibition is on as part of the Radical New Cross weekend led by Goldsmiths University on the 14th & 15th November.

Being Human is the UK’s only national festival of the humanities. From philosophy in pubs, history in coffeehouses, classics on social media and language lessons on street corners – the festival provides new ways to experience how the humanities can inspire and enrich our everyday lives. Being Human demonstrates the strength and diversity of the humanities, and how they can help us to understand ourselves, our relationships with others, and the challenges we face in a changing world.
